Students		What is START ?
Taking		We are a 501c3 Non-Profit Private Operating Foundation whose focus is promoting and coordinating hands-on community service activities for elementary school age children. Via our varied activities, we reach out to the earth and all its inhabitants. We have adopted El Matador Beach, and regularly, survey and clean it. We hike in the local canyon areas, and clean the trails as we hike. We glean farms and fields, with the literal fruits of our labor going to the homeless. We visit retirement homes, enjoying our mutual sharing time. We help the handicapped, and learn so much from them as well. We participate in local walk-a-thons, and other such events. The list goes on, and is open to your suggestions.
